How to Draw a Bubble Letter Y
Draw a bubble letter Y in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top v.
Step 1: The top V
In the middle of your paper draw a fat bubble V. Its 2 arms meet in the middle.
Tip Bubble letters are fat and rounded like balloons.
Step 2: The stem
Where the arms meet, curve smoothly into a fat stem and draw it straight down to a round end.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Under the notch, where the arms join, draw 2 round eyes, not touching. Add a black dot and a shine.
Step 4: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Start under the left eye and stop under the right eye.
Step 5: Burst lines
Around the top of the Y draw 5 short lines pointing out, like a burst of happiness.
Step 6: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the Y draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 7: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 8: Floor and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow under the Y, then a long floor line out from each side of it.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Leaf letter Y
Colour the whole Y leaf green, leaving the eyes white. Your bubble letter Y is done!
