How to Draw a Bok Choy
Draw a bok choy in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle stalk.
Step 1: The middle stalk
Down the middle of your paper draw a fat stalk, round at the bottom and narrower at the top.
Tip Like a bunch of white spoons gathered at the bottom, each with a leaf.
Step 2: Two more stalks
Behind each side of the middle stalk draw another fat stalk, starting and ending on the middle stalk.
Step 3: Outer stalks
Behind those add one more stalk each side, curving out at the top, starting and ending on the next stalk.
Step 4: The top leaf
On the tip of the middle stalk draw a big rounded leaf like the bowl of a spoon.
Step 5: More leaves
Draw the same big spoon leaf on the tip of the next 2 stalks, tucked behind the middle leaf.
Step 6: Outer leaves
Draw a spoon leaf on the tips of the 2 outer stalks, tucked behind the leaves next to them.
Step 7: Veins
Start where each stalk meets its leaf. Draw a straight vein up the leaf, stopping near the top.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line from side to side under the stalks.
Step 9: Cream stalks
Go over your lines, then colour all 5 stalks cream, leaving them very pale.
Step 10: Dark green leaves
Colour all 5 leaves dark green, and your bok choy is done!
