How to Draw a Blocky Guy
Draw a blocky guy in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head block.
Step 1: The head block
Near the top of your paper draw a big square head with sharp corners. Leave room below.
Step 2: Blocky fringe
Start on the left side a third down. Draw a fringe line with 2 square notches, stopping on the right.
Step 3: Two square eyes
Below the fringe draw 2 square eyes. Colour a black square in each, leaving a tiny white shine.
Step 4: A happy smile
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Start below the left eye and stop below the right.
Step 5: The body block
Under the head draw a narrower block for the body. Start and stop on the head's bottom line.
Step 6: Block arms
From each bottom corner of the head draw a block arm, back to the body. Add a hand line.
Step 7: Block legs
Under the body draw 2 block legs with a small gap between. Start and stop on the body's bottom line.
Step 8: Shoes and ground
Draw a shoe line across each leg near the bottom. Rule a ground line under them, wider than the arms.
Step 9: Peach face and hands
Colour 2 pink cheeks, then the face and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Orange shirt
Colour the shirt and both sleeves orange, down to the hand lines.
Step 11: Green trousers
Colour both legs green, from the shirt down to the shoe lines.
Step 12: Brown shoes, black hair
Colour the shoes brown. Colour the hair black, from the top of the head down to the fringe.
