How to Draw a Bass Guitar
Draw a bass guitar in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Draw the body in the lower half: a long left horn, a short right horn and a fat bottom.
Tip A bass body is lopsided on purpose: a waist above the fat bottom.
Step 2: The neck
From between the horns draw 2 close lines straight up, stopping with room above for the headstock.
Tip Make the neck long, almost as tall as the body.
Step 3: The headstock
On top of the neck draw a headstock sticking out to the left. Draw 4 pegs down its left edge.
Tip Bass pegs are big and all on one side.
Step 4: Pickups and bridge
On the body under the neck draw 2 short flat bars, one under the other, and a third lower down.
Step 5: The strings
Draw 4 long lines down the middle, starting on the headstock and stopping on the bridge, close together.
Step 6: Frets
Across the neck draw 5 short lines, evenly spaced, from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 7: Knobs
On the right side of the body, beside the bridge, draw 2 small round knobs, one above the other.
Step 8: Music notes
Draw 2 small music notes floating beside the guitar, one on each side.
Step 9: Brown neck, grey knobs
Colour the neck and headstock wood brown, and the knobs and pegs grey.
Step 10: Black pickups
Colour the 2 pickups and the bridge black.
Step 11: Navy body
Colour the body navy blue, going around the neck, pickups and knobs. Your bass guitar is done!

Your finished drawing
