How to Draw a Baseball Helmet
Draw a baseball helmet in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dome.
Step 1: The dome
Start halfway down on the left. Draw a big dome over the top and stop low on the right.
Tip Finish with a little hook that points left.
Step 2: The ear flap
From the hook draw a big round U hanging down. Then go left and curl up to where you started.
Tip The flap covers the batter's ear.
Step 3: The brim
From the front of the dome draw a flat brim pointing left. Round its tip and come back underneath.
Tip The brim keeps the sun out of the batter's eyes.
Step 4: Ear hole
In the middle of the ear flap draw an egg-shaped ear hole.
Tip The hole lets the batter hear the coach.
Step 5: Air vents
High on the back of the dome draw 3 small slanted ovals in a curved row.
Tip The vents let cool air in.
Step 6: A shine
Just inside the front of the dome draw one short curved line that follows the edge.
Step 7: Ground and shadow
Under the ear flap draw a long flat oval shadow. Add a ground line from each end, stopping near the edges.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars in front of the helmet, like little plus signs with curvy sides.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Grey holes and shadow
Colour the shadow light grey. Colour the ear hole and the 3 vents dark grey.
Step 11: Red helmet
Colour the helmet and its brim red, around the ear hole and the vents. Your helmet is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a baseball helmet, drawn by you.
