How to Draw a Baboon Face
Draw a baboon face in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Draw a big round head, wide at the top and a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room all around it for the fur.
Step 2: Long muzzle
Start in the middle of the head. Draw a long muzzle, thin on top, wide and round below the chin.
Tip A baboon has a long muzzle, like a dog.
Step 3: Two round eyes
Just above the muzzle draw 2 round eyes close together. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Tip Leave the rest of each eye white.
Step 4: Heavy brow
Start beside the muzzle. Draw up around one eye, over both eyes in 2 bumps, and down again.
Tip Keep the bumps high and round so your baboon looks friendly.
Step 5: Nose and smile
Low on the muzzle draw 2 slanted nostrils and colour them black. Draw a wide smile under them.
Step 6: Small ears
On each side of the head, beside the eyes, draw a small round ear. Add a curve inside.
Step 7: Side fur
Start at each top corner of the head. Draw 4 big soft fur bumps going out and down.
Tip Soft round bumps, not zigzags.
Step 8: Chin fur
Carry on with 3 more bumps down each side. Join them with 1 bump under the muzzle.
Tip Make the bumps all about the same size.
Step 9: Peach face
Colour the face around the eyes and the 2 ears peach. Leave the eyes and the muzzle white.
Step 10: Tan fur
Colour all the fluffy fur around the head tan, around the ears.
Step 11: Grey muzzle
Colour the long muzzle grey, around the black nostrils.
Step 12: Brown head
Colour the top and sides of the head brown, around the face. Your baboon face is done!
