How to Draw an Armoured Hero

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw an armoured hero in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the helmet.

Print

  1. Step 1: The helmet

Near the top of your paper, draw a big round helmet, a little narrower at the bottom.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: Face opening

Inside the helmet, draw a rounded opening for the face, leaving a band of helmet all the way round.

  3. Step 3: Friendly face

In the opening, draw 2 big round eyes, each with a black dot and a shine. Add a smile.

  4. Step 4: Collar and suit

Under the helmet draw a short collar. From it draw round shoulders, the sides and a flat bottom.

  5. Step 5: Shoulder pads

On each shoulder draw a round shoulder pad, like half a ball, hanging just over the edge.

Tip Rub out the shoulder line inside each pad.

  6. Step 6: Chest plate and star

In the middle of the chest draw a plate with a round bottom. Put a 5-point star inside it.

  7. Step 7: Arms

Start under each pad. Draw the arm down to the wrist, bent a little, and back up to the body.

  8. Step 8: Gauntlets

Over each wrist draw a wide cuff. Under it draw a round mitten hand with a thumb pointing in.

Tip Rub out the arm lines inside each cuff.

  9. Step 9: Belt and buckle

Just above the bottom of the suit, draw a belt line from side to side. Add a square buckle.

  10. Step 10: Legs

Start at the left corner of the suit. Draw 2 legs down, and end at the right corner.

  11. Step 11: Boots and ground

Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a ground line under the boots.

  12. Step 12: Peach and yellow

Colour the face peach. Colour the star and the buckle yellow.

    Tip Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Grey armour

Colour the helmet, collar, pads, chest plate, belt, gauntlets and boots grey, around the face, star and buckle.

  14. Step 14: Blue suit

Colour the suit, arms and legs blue, around the grey armour. Your hero is done!
