How to Draw an S for Snake
Draw an S for snake in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big s.
Step 1: The big S
In the middle draw a fat bubble S. The round head is top right, the thin tail tip is bottom.
Tip Bubble letters are fat and rounded, like balloons, with no sharp corners.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the round head draw 2 round eyes close together. Add a big black dot with a white shine.
Step 3: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Start under the left eye and stop under the right eye.
Step 4: A forked tongue
Start on the head level with the smile. Draw a tongue out that splits into 2 points and comes back.
Tip S is for snake!
Step 5: Spots
Down the body draw 4 little oval spots, tilted different ways, none near the face.
Step 6: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the S draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 7: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 8: Floor and shadow
Draw a thin flat oval shadow under the S. Draw a long floor line out from each side.
Step 9: Yellow spots, sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 spots and the 4 sparkle stars yellow.
Step 10: Red tongue, grey shadow
Colour the tongue red and the shadow under the S grey.
Step 11: Green letter S
Colour the whole S green, going around the spots. Leave the eyes white. Your letter S is done!
