How to Draw a 3D Cube
Draw a 3D cube in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: front square.
Step 1: Front square
A little left of the middle of your paper draw a big square with 4 equal sides.
Tip A cube is a box: a square front, a top and a side.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the square draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 3: Big smile
Under the eyes draw a big wide U smile from under the left eye over to the right eye.
Step 4: Rosy cheeks
Under the outside of each eye, beside the ends of the smile, draw one small sideways oval cheek.
Step 5: The top
From the top left corner draw a slanted line up right, then across, then slant down to the top right.
Tip The 2 slanted lines lean the same way and are the same length.
Step 6: The side
From the top right corner draw the same slanted line up, then straight down, then slant to the bottom corner.
Step 7: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the cube draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 8: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 9: Floor and shadow
Draw a floor line under the cube from the left edge to the right edge. Add a flat oval shadow.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, sky top
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the top of the cube sky blue.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, blue front
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the front square blue, around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey shadow, navy side
Colour the shadow grey and the side navy blue. Your 3D cube is done!
