How to Draw a Welcome Text

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a welcome text in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: w, e and l.

Print

  1. Step 1: W, E and L

Above the middle, on the left, write WEL in fat bubble letters: a wide W, an E and an L.

  2. Step 2: C and O

Under WEL, starting under the W, begin COME: a fat C, then an O with a hole.

  3. Step 3: M and E

Then a wide M and a fat E to finish COME.

  4. Step 4: A little star

Beside the words, draw a little 5-point star. Start at the top point, zig round, back to the top.

  5. Step 5: Two big eyes

On the star draw 2 big eyes, a little apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.

  6. Step 6: Smile and cheeks

Draw a small U smile under the eyes. Dab a little pink cheek under each eye.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Draw 4 sparkle stars in the corners round the words.

  8. Step 8: The floor

Draw a straight floor line under COME, a little longer than the word, so the letters stand on it.

  9. Step 9: Yellow star

Colour the star yellow around the face and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Yellow sparkles

    Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.

  11. Step 11: Green WEL

Colour the letters of WEL green, keeping inside their outlines.

  12. Step 12: Green COME

Colour the letters of COME green, keeping inside their outlines. Your WELCOME sign is done!
