How to Draw a Sofa
Draw a sofa in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the back.
Step 1: The back
Above the middle draw the sofa back: a tall box with round top corners, about as wide as your hand.
Tip Like a wide loaf with a flat bottom, reaching well down the page.
Step 2: Two arms
On each side draw a tall arm sticking out past the back: a round hump on top, then straight down.
Tip The arms start halfway down the back, like big round bumpers.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the back, above its middle, draw 2 big egg eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, eye to eye, and a small flat cheek out beside each end.
Step 5: Two cushions
Between the arms draw 2 puffy seat cushions side by side, from arm to arm, sitting on the bottom line.
Step 6: The base
Under the cushions draw the base: a long flat band from the left arm's bottom to the right arm's bottom.
Step 7: Two feet
Under the base draw 2 short feet, wider at the top, one near each end.
Step 8: The floor
Draw a floor line under the feet, starting past the left end and stopping past the right end.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Sky cushions, wood feet
Colour the 2 seat cushions sky blue and the feet wood brown.
Step 11: Blue sofa
Colour the back, arms and base blue, around the cheeks and cushions. Leave the eyes white. Your sofa is ready!
