How to Draw a Kiwi
Draw a kiwi in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a big C for the head, near the top left. Start under the chin, stop at the back.
Step 2: Long thin beak
On the front of the head, draw a long thin beak curving down to a point, longer than the head.
Step 3: One big eye
In the middle of the head, draw a big round eye with a black dot and a white shine.
Tip Leave a strip of cheek between the beak and the eye.
Step 4: Plump body
Start where the head stops. Draw a big egg body down, round the bottom and up to the chin.
Tip Make the body much bigger than the head, like a pear lying down.
Step 5: Shaggy feathers
On the back half of the body, draw 4 short curved strokes, like little commas, one under the other.
Step 6: Front leg and toes
Under the front of the tummy, draw a short leg getting thinner, with 3 round toes spread forward.
Step 7: Back leg and toes
Draw the other leg the same way, further back under the tummy. Leave a gap between the feet.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Draw a long ground line under the toes, from edge to edge. Add a spiky grass tuft at each end.
Step 9: Tan beak, green grass
Colour the long beak, both legs and the toes tan, and the grass tufts green.
Step 10: Brown kiwi
Colour the head and the whole round body brown. Leave the eye white.
