How to Draw a Kitchen Room

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a kitchen room in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: fridge and floor.

Print

  1. Step 1: Fridge and floor

Draw a floor line low across your paper. On its left stand a tall fridge with round top corners.

Tip Leave room on the right for the counter and the cooker.

  2. Step 2: Doors and handles

Start on the fridge a third of the way down. Draw a line across. Add a handle on each door.

  3. Step 3: A happy face

On the big door draw 2 round eyes with black dots, a U smile and 2 small cheeks.

Tip Keep the cheeks below the eyes, not touching them.

  4. Step 4: Sink and tap

Beside the fridge draw a sink box with round bottom corners. From behind it draw a pipe that bends over.

  5. Step 5: The counter

Draw a flat worktop bar out from both sides of the sink. Draw a big cupboard box under it.

Tip The cupboard stands on the floor line.

  6. Step 6: Cupboard doors

Start under the sink and draw a line down to the floor. Add a handle on each door.

  7. Step 7: The cooker

On the right draw the cooker, a box as tall as the counter. Draw 3 round knobs near its top.

  8. Step 8: Oven door

Under the knobs draw a long thin handle bar. Below it draw a wide oven window with round corners.

  9. Step 9: A cooking pot

On top of the cooker draw a pot with a round lid, a knob and 2 side handles.

  10. Step 10: The window

On the wall above the sink draw a square window with a cross. Add a small sun.

  11. Step 11: Sky and sun

Colour the window sky blue, going around the sun. Colour the sun yellow.

  12. Step 12: Pink and red

Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the pot, its lid and the 3 knobs red.

  13. Step 13: Brown and grey

Colour the cupboard brown. Colour the cooker, worktop, tap and handles grey. Leave the sink white.

  14. Step 14: Blue fridge

Go over your lines. Colour the fridge blue around the face, eyes left white, and the oven window navy.
