How to Draw a Globe

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a globe in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.

Print

  1. Step 1: The ball

Above the middle draw one big circle, as big as your fist, going round slowly.

  2. Step 2: The ring

Start above the ball. Draw a thin C band round its right side, close to the ball, stopping below it.

Tip Put a little round knob on each end of the band.

  3. Step 3: A happy face

In the ball's middle draw 2 big eyes with dots and shines, and a wide U smile below.

  4. Step 4: The land

Draw 3 blobby islands on the ball: up left, right by the eye, and low under the smile.

  5. Step 5: Arm and foot

From the bottom knob draw a fat arm down to a dome foot. Add a short ground line under it.

  6. Step 6: Rosy cheeks

Draw a small oval cheek out beside each end of the smile.

  7. Step 7: A shine

Near the top of the ball, a bit left, draw one short curve following the edge: the shine.

  8. Step 8: Yellow ring, peach cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the ring, knobs and arm brassy yellow, and the cheeks peach.

  9. Step 9: Green land

    Colour the three islands green.

  10. Step 10: Blue water, navy foot

Colour the ball blue around the land and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Colour the foot navy.
