How to Draw a Daddy Longlegs
Draw a daddy longlegs in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a small head.
Step 1: A small head
In the middle of your paper, draw a small round head like a little bun. Keep it small.
Tip Leave lots of room all round for 8 very long legs.
Step 2: A little tummy
Start on top of the head, left of middle. Draw a small egg up and over, back to the head.
Step 3: Big eyes
In the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes a little apart, with black dots and shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a U smile across to stop under the right eye. Add 2 tiny cheeks.
Step 5: Top legs
From the top of the head, draw a long leg up to a round knee, then down to the ground.
Tip Draw one on each side. Each leg is thick at the head and thin at the foot, like a stilt.
Step 6: Second legs
Start a little lower on the head. Draw another leg out to a round knee, then down to the ground.
Step 7: Third legs
Start a little lower again. Draw a long leg out to a knee level with the head, then down.
Step 8: Bottom legs
Start near the chin. Draw the last leg out and down to a low knee, then down to the ground.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a straight ground line under all 8 feet, a little past the outside legs.
Step 10: Tan legs, pink cheeks
Colour all 8 long legs tan, and colour the tiny cheeks pink.
Step 11: Brown body
Colour the head and the tummy brown, going around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
