How to Draw a Christmas Elf
Draw a Christmas elf in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.
Step 1: Big egg head
Near the top, draw a big head like an egg on its side, with fat round cheeks.
Tip The head is almost half of the whole elf.
Step 2: Floppy hat and bell
Draw a thick band across the top of the head. Add a floppy cone leaning right, with a bell.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes, close together. Add a black dot with a shine.
Step 4: Little nose
Under the eyes, in the middle, draw a small round nose, half as big as an eye.
Step 5: Ears, smile, cheeks
Draw a pointy leaf ear on each side, level with the eyes. Add a U smile and 2 oval cheeks.
Step 6: Pear body
Start under the left cheek. Draw a pear body, wide and round at the bottom. Stop under the right cheek.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 7: Zigzag collar
Under the chin, draw a collar from cheek to cheek. Give it pointy zigzags along the bottom.
Step 8: Arms and mittens
Start under the left cheek. Draw a fat sausage arm down to a mitten on the tummy. Do both.
Step 9: Legs and boots
Under the body, draw 2 short legs. Under each leg, draw a fat boot with the toe pointing out.
Step 10: Soles and ground
Draw a straight sole line across each boot, toe to heel. Draw one long ground line under both boots.
Step 11: Yellow bell, pink cheeks
Colour the bell yellow, and the cheeks and ear insides pink.
Step 12: Peach face and ears
Colour the face, ears and nose peach, around the pink cheeks and ear insides. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Green suit, brown boots
Colour the tunic, arms, mittens, legs and hat green, and the boots brown. Leave the band and collar white.
