How to Draw a Cauldron
Draw a cauldron in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lip.
Step 1: The lip
Above the middle, draw a wide flat oval. Draw a smaller oval inside it, making a thick ring.
Step 2: Fat round pot
Under the lip, draw a big round belly from one end of the lip to the other.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the belly, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Add black dots with shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: Bubbling goo
Inside the lip, draw a wavy line of bumps across the inner oval, for the goo bubbling inside.
Step 6: Three legs
Under the pot, draw 3 stubby legs: one left, one right, and a short one in the middle.
Step 7: Bubbles
Above the cauldron, draw 6 bubbles floating up, big ones near the lip and smaller ones higher.
Step 8: Drips and handles
Draw 2 goo drips under the lip, with round blob ends. Add a small ring handle high on each side.
Step 9: Ground and sparkles
Start out on the left. Draw a long ground line under the legs, stopping on the right. Add 2 sparkles.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 11: Green goo, purple sparkles
Colour the goo inside the lip, the 2 drips and all the bubbles green. Colour the sparkles purple.
Step 12: Slate cauldron
Colour the pot, lip, legs and handles slate, around the bubbles, drips and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Bubble, bubble!
