How to Draw a Bushbaby
Draw a bushbaby in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: teardrop head.
Step 1: Teardrop head
Near the top, draw a big upside-down teardrop head: round on top, narrowing to a soft point below.
Step 2: Huge bat ears
On each top corner, draw a huge oval ear standing up and leaning out, with a smaller oval inside.
Tip Bushbaby ears are enormous, like a bat's, taller than half the head.
Step 3: Nose, smile, whiskers
Draw a teardrop nose near the point. From its tip, draw down to a smile. Add 3 whiskers each side.
Step 4: Two enormous eyes
Draw 2 enormous round eyes nearly touching, with big black dots and 2 shines in each.
Tip The black dot fills more than half of each eye: soft and friendly.
Step 5: Pear body and tummy
Start under the left cheek. Draw a lazy C down to the bottom middle. Same right. Add a tummy arch.
Step 6: Front legs and paws
Start on the left body line. Draw a round shoulder, down getting thinner, out to a mitten paw. Same right.
Step 7: Back feet
Start at the bottom of each paw. Draw a small mitten foot out along the ground, back to the paw.
Tip Little rounded mittens lying on the ground, pointing out to the sides.
Step 8: Big bushy tail
From behind the right leg, draw a fat tail up to a soft tip, bumpy outside, and back.
Step 9: The branch
Draw a branch across the page under the feet, bending up a little at each end. Add 2 bark lines.
Step 10: Pink ears, cream tummy
Colour the inside of the ears and the nose pink, and the tummy cream.
Step 11: Grey fur, brown branch
Colour the fur light grey around the pink and cream, and the branch brown. Leave the eyes white.
