How to Draw a Bullfrog
Draw a bullfrog in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and body.
Step 1: Head and body
Across the middle of your paper, draw one big fat loaf lying on its side for the head and body.
Step 2: The big eye
Draw one big eye on top of the head, mostly above the head line, with a black pupil and shine.
Tip Frog eyes sit on top of the head like headlights.
Step 3: Wide smile and nostril
From the snout tip, draw a wide smile back under the eye, turning up at the end. Dot a nostril.
Step 4: The eardrum
Behind the eye, a little lower, draw a round eardrum circle on the head, nearly as big as the eye.
Tip Like a coin stuck on its head.
Step 5: The big thigh
On the back of the body, draw a big egg thigh on its side, fat end poking out behind.
Step 6: Shin and webbed foot
From the back of the thigh, draw a shin to the ground, then a flat foot forward with 3 toes.
Tip The leg folds like a Z: thigh back, shin down, foot forward.
Step 7: The front leg
Under the eardrum, draw a front leg down from the tummy, bent back at the elbow, to a 3-toed hand.
Tip Like a fat carrot: wide at the body, narrow at the wrist.
Step 8: The bank
Draw one long straight line under the feet, from the left of the paper to the right, for the bank.
Step 9: Tummy line and spots
Draw a tummy line from the smile to the thigh. Add 4 spots along the back, away from the eardrum.
Step 10: Cream tummy, light spots
Colour the tummy band under the smile cream. Then colour the eardrum and spots light leaf green.
Step 11: Colour it green
Go over your lines, then colour the frog green around the tummy, eardrum and spots. Leave the eye white.
