How to Draw a Balance Bike
Draw a balance bike in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two small wheels.
Step 1: Two small wheels
Draw 2 small wheels near the bottom, a wheel apart, each with a rim and hub. Add a road underneath.
Tip A balance bike is tiny: small wheels, fat tyres.
Step 2: Fork and head tube
From the front hub draw a fat stick up and back, stopping above the tyre. Add a pill on top.
Step 3: One low frame bar
Start on the pill. Draw one long fat stick swooping down low, like a slide. Stop on the back hub.
Tip No pedals! You push a balance bike with your feet.
Step 4: Seat post and saddle
Above the back wheel draw a short stick up from the frame. Put a saddle on top, nose forward.
Tip Keep the seat low, just above the tyre.
Step 5: Handlebar and grip
From the pill draw a short stick up, then a fat stick sweeping forward. End it with a pill grip.
Step 6: A little bell
Draw a tiny round bell sitting on top of the handlebar, near the short stick.
Step 7: Spokes
In each wheel draw 3 straight lines through the hub from rim to rim, like cutting a pizza.
Step 8: Streamers
At the end of the grip draw 3 ribbon strips hanging down, each with a V notch at the bottom.
Step 9: Yellow bell, pink streamers
Go over your lines. Colour the bell yellow and the streamers pink.
Step 10: Grey metal, orange frame
Colour the hubs, stem and handlebar light grey. Colour the pill, fork, low bar and seat post orange.
Step 11: Brown saddle, slate tyres
Colour the saddle brown. Colour the tyres and grip slate grey, going around the orange fork and bar.

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a balance bike, drawn by you.
