14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a baby springbok in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top left, draw an egg head, wide on top and narrow at the chin. Lean it a little.

  2. Step 2: Big ears

On top of the head, draw 2 long pointed ears leaning out. Draw a smaller ear shape inside each.

  3. Step 3: Shiny eyes

Halfway down the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a black dot and a white shine in each.

Tip Put both eyes a little to the left, because the head is turned.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Low on the face, draw a small black nose. Draw a short line down from it into a wide smile.

  5. Step 5: Face lines

Draw a thin line from each eye down to the end of the smile. Curve a line across the forehead.

Tip Let the forehead line dip down between the eyes.

  6. Step 6: Neck and back

Start behind the head. Draw a short neck and a long back, then curve down over the rump and stop.

  7. Step 7: Front leg

Start under the chin. Draw the chest, then a long thin leg with a bumpy knee down to a hoof.

Tip Come back up the leg and stop under the body.

  8. Step 8: Tummy and back leg

Start at the front leg. Draw a tummy, then a bent back leg and its hoof. Stop at the rump.

Tip The top of the back leg is wide. Below the bend it is thin.

  9. Step 9: Far legs

Draw 2 more legs peeking out from behind, one beside each leg. Count 4 legs.

  10. Step 10: Hooves and tail

Draw a short line across each leg for 4 hooves. Add a pointed tail and a ground line.

  11. Step 11: Side stripe

From each leg join draw a curve up the side. Between them draw 2 long lines for the stripe.

  12. Step 12: Peach ears

Colour the inside of the 2 ears peach.

  13. Step 13: Tan coat

Colour the forehead, ears, neck, back and 4 legs tan. Leave the face, tummy, stripe, tail and hooves white.

  14. Step 14: Brown and grey

Colour the side stripe and the tail brown. Colour the 4 hooves dark grey. Your baby springbok is done!
