How to Draw a Chimpanzee Face
Draw a chimpanzee face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the middle of your paper, draw a big round head, about half the page wide, wider than tall.
Tip Leave room at the sides for the ears.
Step 2: The pale face
Inside the head, draw a big rounded face, flatter on top. Leave a band of head showing under the chin.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the face, draw 2 egg eyes close together. Add a black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Huge round ears
On each side, draw a huge C ear with a smaller C inside, both ending on the head line.
Step 5: The heavy brow
Over both eyes, draw one thick brow band, dipping in the middle. Keep it clear of the eyes.
Tip The one big brow over both eyes is what makes a chimp face.
Step 6: Nose and smile
Low in the face, draw a wide sideways oval. Add 2 nostril dots at the top and a wide smile.
Step 7: Hair tuft
On top of the head, draw 3 soft hill bumps of hair, starting and ending on the head line.
Step 8: Rosy cheeks
Draw a little oval blush on each cheek, beside the mouth, and colour it pink.
Step 9: Peach face
Go over your lines. Colour the mouth oval cream, the face peach around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Slate fur
Colour the inner ears peach, then the head, ears and tuft slate grey around the face and inner ears.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a chimpanzee face, drawn by you.
