How to Draw a Chevron
Draw a chevron in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big chevron.
Step 1: The big chevron
Near the top draw a thick upside-down V, like a fat arrowhead pointing up. Make both arms the same.
Tip A chevron is a thick V: 2 fat arms meeting at a point.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the top point draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: A big smile
A little below the eyes draw a big wide U smile from one eye to the other, ends turning up.
Step 4: Rosy cheeks
Under the outside of each eye, beside the ends of the smile, draw one small sideways oval cheek.
Step 5: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the chevron draw 2 sparkle stars, one beside the arm and one up near the point.
Step 6: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 7: The floor
Along the 2 bottom points of the chevron draw a floor line, from well left to well right.
Step 8: A flat shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow on the floor under the chevron. Rub out the floor line inside it.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 cheeks rosy pink and the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Blue chevron
Colour the whole chevron blue, going around the face and cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey shadow
Colour the shadow grey. Your happy chevron is done!
