How to Draw a Dog in a Bath
Draw a dog in a bath in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, in the middle, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip Leave lots of room underneath for the bathtub.
Step 2: Floppy ears
From each top corner of the head, swing a big floppy ear out and down to cheek height.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 egg eyes. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 4: Snout and smile
Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout. Add a black nose on top and an open smile below.
Tip A short line joins the nose to the smile.
Step 5: The chest
Start at each cheek. Draw a line down and out, then join them with a saggy line.
Step 6: Tub rim
Across the bottom of the chest draw a long thin band that sags in the middle.
Tip Make it nearly as wide as the page. Rub out the chest line inside it.
Step 7: The tub
From each end of the rim draw a side straight down. Join them with a long round bottom.
Step 8: Feet and floor
Under each end of the tub draw a short foot. Draw the floor line under both feet.
Step 9: Paws on the rim
Hang a round paw over the rim on each side of the chest. Add 2 toe lines each.
Tip Rub out the rim lines inside each paw.
Step 10: Bubbly foam
Start at the left end of the rim. Draw puffy foam bumps along to the right end.
Tip The foam hides the bottom of the chest. Rub out the lines inside it.
Step 11: Floating bubbles
Draw 3 round bubbles floating in the air around the dog.
Step 12: Pink and yellow
Go over your lines. Colour inside the smile pink and the 2 tub feet yellow.
Step 13: Blue tub
Colour the tub and its rim sky blue. Leave the foam, the bubbles and the paws white.
Step 14: Tan fur, brown ears
Colour the head, chest and paws tan and the floppy ears brown. Leave the eyes white.
Tip Splish splash, bath time is done!
